On May 1, Maple Lane held a Mathematics Festival for students and families. At the start of the day, student leaders learned how to run math stations and then classes came to the gym to explore a wide variety of math activities. Families were invited to join the festival from 3:00 - 4:30 in the afternoon. Our goal was to have students and families engage with math in creative ways and expand their concept of what Math is. Each of the activities had access points for all learners with opportunities to engage with complex problems. Perseverance and resiliency with problem solving were required to solve many of the challenges.
