As part of welcoming students back to school and in connection to our Social and Emotional Learning focus, Ms. Hazon had the opportunity to read to the students a story called "Ishi" via a school-wide zoom.  "Ishi" stories an optimistic little rock who showcases happiness and self-compassion to all!  After listening to the story, students were able to decorate the own "happy rock" with images and words that bring them happiness, positivity, and joy.  For all of the community to enjoy, the rocks are placed outside Maple Lane Elementary's main entrance pathway.
